Artist Statement

Ma Journée translates to "my day" in French. The white background of this piece represents the empty slate upon which one begins their day. I chose to typographically display the components in my day as a list and then I chose to distort them by skewing them and rotating them so it became more difficult to understand their message. The vivid red text that reads Ma Journée intersects throughout this digital piece as my days tend to be hectic and chaotic with the amount that I manage to fit within them. This piece is meant to be unbalanced, chaotic, and difficult to look at.
